Bordeaux Métropole will host the women’s and men’s World Championship Finals of the international rugby sevens circuit from 5 to 7 June 2026 at Stade Atlantique.

Match Schedule

In rugby sevens, matches consist of two 7-minute halves, for a total playing time of 15 minutes.

Throughout the day, matches will take place one after another in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

With your ticket, you may enter and leave the stadium freely throughout the day.

You will also have access to the training grounds to watch your favorite teams warm up.

Stade Atlantique Village

Join us at the Village located on the stadium forecourt!

The Village is situated in front of the Stade Atlantique – Bordeaux Métropole. Supporters and local residents can gather there from Friday 5 June through Sunday 7 June.

This free, family-friendly village offers activities for all ages, providing an opportunity to discover or rediscover rugby culture and practice while having fun.

Plenty of Activities on Offer!

  • Beach Rugby 
  • A chill-out zone to relax 
  • A pétanque court 
  • A slip-and-slide attraction for the more adventurous 
  • A BMX and skateboarding area 
  • An autograph zone with players, coaches, and staff 
  • Numerous food and beverage stands 
  • A stage featuring DJs, giveaways, games, and costume contests 

And many more booths and surprises to discover on site!

 

Kids Zone

A dedicated Kids Zone has been specially designed for children aged 3 to 12 years old.

At the “Club LOL’ympique” childcare center, children are fully supervised by qualified and bilingual activity leaders.

A wide range of fun, sports, and creative activities will be available, including:

  • A creative workshop featuring a giant collaborative mural 
  • A sports area with: 
    • A baby rugby field 
    • Two-person skiing activities 
    • Mini-golf  
    • Fencing  
    • A miniature cycling race 
    • Wooden-track toy car races 
  • Sports-themed board games with four different challenges 
  • Face painting

Get ready to enjoy three exceptional days of celebration during the final stage of the international Sevens tournament, culminating in the women’s and men’s finals on Sunday.

The Village is free of charge and open to everyone, even without a match ticket.

Tips to Make the Most of the Event

Plan Your Journey Ahead

Leave early to enjoy the many activities at the stadium and avoid peak traffic periods around the Bordeaux-Lac district.

When traveling from the city center during busy periods, the Tram C line is recommended.

 

Come by Bicycle

A secure and free bicycle parking area is available next to the stadium on Avenue de la Jallère.

You may park your bicycle safely, subject to the 700-space capacity.

 

Remember Your Transport Ticket

Travel by tram and bus to the stadium is not included and requires a valid ticket.

You can purchase and validate your tickets directly on your smartphone using the TBM mobile application.

 

Travel Light

If you arrive on match day, please leave your belongings at your accommodation before coming to the stadium.

Suitcases and backpacks are prohibited inside the venue.

Any unattended personal belongings may trigger security procedures under the French Vigipirate security plan.

An Eco-Responsible Approach

Bordeaux Métropole is committed to the French Ministry of Sports’ Eco-Commitments Charter, reaffirming its dedication to environmental sustainability and inclusion.

A Socially Responsible Event

The event supports the “Ask for Angela” program, which creates a network of safe spaces in and around the sports venue and throughout the city.

Anyone who feels unsafe or experiences harassment can seek assistance and refuge in one of the designated locations.

Special Rates for Schools

A total of 3,000 tickets at preferential rates have been made available to schools for Friday, 5 June.

In-Stadium Audio Description

An audio-description service, supported by connected tablets, will be available during the tournament.

Accredited commentators will provide live match descriptions, enabling visually impaired spectators to fully experience all three days of competition and enjoy the action from the heart of the event.

 

A Carbon-Offset Event

As part of its carbon neutrality objectives and its voluntary carbon contribution program, Bordeaux Métropole and the City of Bordeaux will offset the event’s residual carbon emissions by financing certified local environmental projects.

Part of the revenue generated from paid parking near the stadium will be used to support:

  • Tree-planting initiatives 
  • Urban greening projects throughout the metropolitan area 

Waste Sorting and Recycling

Recycling bins will be available throughout the entire site.

In addition, litter collected around the stadium will be managed by TAPAJ, an organization that supports young people experiencing social and economic hardship.
